01 / The Creator
“2007 is
my G1.”
The 2007 Transformers film was an experience John shared with his mother, and it became the beginning of everything that followed. Transformers Prime became his first television series. Collecting became creating. Creating became a channel. The channel became a community.
Today, OptiNation Review spans reviews, franchise history, movie and series discussion, conventions, Robosen robotics, tributes, fan experiences and long-form storytelling.

Stories outlive
the moment.
John’s mother passed away on December 10, 2022. The channel does not exist as a memorial, but the memory of where the journey began remains part of its foundation.
Transformers became a language for carrying experiences forward: the films watched together, the collections built afterward and the community that grew around those memories. That is why OptiNation is about more than merchandise. It is about the people and stories behind the fandom.
